A. The program was designed so that it would begin a time result search only if the international access code is dialed (for most countries that is 00 and for most of North America it is 011 and 1 domestically within North America or + sign, country code and phone number) so when you dial any number beginning with these numbers or + sign you press send or talk. The program will then prompt you for the time. It will say enter 5 for the time. Press 5 within 3 seconds and the time at that number will appear. At this point you can decide if it is appropriate to complete the call, if yes press call and the call will continue if not press end. If the 5 is not pressed in 3 seconds the call will automatically connect.

The following is for North America. Since North America has 7 time zones the program has a special feature to accommodate this fact. If you want to know what time it is at a location in North America you simply dial 1 before any area code and number and the program will prompt for the time. Any numbers dialed without the 1 is assumed to be a local call with no need to know the time or it is a number where the time is known. This gives you control for which numbers the program will prompt for time.

Q. When you say nearly anywhere around the globe, are there numbers that the program will not translate into local time?

A. Yes. The program will not give a time result for the following; Antarctica, International 800 numbers, some pacific island (Christmas, Pitcairn, Wake, Midway, Norfolk) ships at sea and cell phones that are traveling outside their time zone. In the case of cell phones a result will be given but the result will be for the home time zone.

Q. Will the program work outside my country?

A. Yes. If you have an unlocked GSM phone the program will work in any of these countries (click here) that use GSM on their phones.

Q. What if I do not want the program on all the time.

A. Although the program was design to integrate well with everyday use, if you want to deactivate the program simply go to the timetranslator icon open/menu/press the number 1 to deactivate.
